I mean, there is no release and the last commit was 5 month ago.

Hi, thanks for your interest!
This project is not unmaintained.
There is no commit because for now, I have nothing to add.
And there is no release, because I'm not sure enough that it's reliable. I would like to have some feedback before releasing any version. As mentioned in the Readme file:

This is a work in progress and help is welcome to make this tool reliable accross platforms

If you're interested in this project, please let me know if you have any issue using it.
