how to put api in code?

i need to put api from code because im hosting the SD publicly and cant give access to setting and my hosting service doesn't supports file access. so need to put my api from beginning, how do i do it? which file has the api

Hi there, if you cannot access the settings you can manually edit the civitai_gui.py file by going to line 906,
Here you can input you're API Key like so:

905    shared.OptionInfo(
906        r"INSERT_PERSONAL_API_KEY_HERE",
907        "Personal CivitAI API key",

I'm not sure if this will work if you've never saved the settings with this extension installed, since it will then not detect this setting as existing, and thus fail to detect the default value.

If changing the line above didn't work, you can try editing the following 2 files:
civitai_gui.py on line 136
civitai_api.py on line 1104

Both of these files will contain the same line on those locations, being:

api_key = getattr(opts, "custom_api_key", "")

here you can insert your API key like so:

api_key = getattr(opts, "custom_api_key", "PERSONAL_API_KEY_HERE")

it dosent work, i tried all of these. any other solution?

The only other thing that you can do to ensure that the API key is being used is by replacing the lines mentioned before with:

api_key = "API_KEY_HERE"
