Manga, adding new volumes to a book are not seen by Scan or Forced Scan

What happened?

Example, Manga registered with 50 volumes, correctly scanned and in book list. Add more volumes to this series. Neither Scan methods see new volumes so Manga book not updated.
To update the Book, I have to either rename the title or delete the book and run forced Scan. Then copy whole Book back into Manga folder and rerun Scans.

What did you expect?

Scans should see if Manga Books have volumes added over time.

This sounds like your OS isn't telling Kavita there was a modification since the last scan. Next time this happens, create a new file in the folder then do a normal scan. If it picks up, then something funky is happening with your OS on last write time.
