Hy,

Tracking only works if QField is active and the screen is turned on constantly. But it's not good for battery power.

The tracks stopped when the screen is turned off (sleep mode).

There is a way to do GPS working when device is locked?(i try a lot of ways in the parameters of my device, without results)

Thank a lot ,

See also #958. I would also appreciate this functionality.

This has been accepted as an enhancement request. Good job 👍 Enhancement requests are very valuable to make QField better. They sometimes attract others and just happen magically. More often however they need someone to jump in and make them come true.

This enhancement idea was created over 2 years ago. What's the status on this? Does it need funding, and if so, can one dedicate funding to this enhancement specifically? This is really the ONLY thing that is keeping me and my company from fully adopting QField as our field data collection app, but tracking is just as essential to our work as collecting points, so not being able to reliably track is total show-stopper.

I'm not at all a programmer, but I would be happy to provide specific feedback and testing. I detail some of my issues in this issue (merged into this one): [https://github.com//issues/4133]

Has there been any progress on this? It's an issue that is preventing rollout of Qfield to our organization

What's the status on this crowd-funding effort and/or implementation? If funding is still needed, I'll see if I can drum up support within my company.

I don't know. I've sent two emails saying that our company may be able to provide the balance of funding but need to know what that amount is...but haven't received any reply.
