Checklist

  • I ensured I'm running the latest version of the patch, and that the issue is present in it if applicable
  • I have read the entirety of the FAQ section in the readme, and my question was not answered there, or was not answered sufficiently
  • I have ran general troubleshooting steps (if applicable), such as restarting the PC/reinstalling Origin/whatever else is described in the FAQ, and they didn't help
  • I have checked existing issues (including closed ones), and there wasn't an existing issue pertaining to my problem (with possible solutions in the comments)

Your issue

After a download for Battlefield 1 is started the Origin client will throw error 262150:131086. I can continue the download afterwards, but the issue reappears every few minutes. BF1 seems to be the only affected game(tried with Titanfall 2 too, no issues there). Any suggestions? I was considering downloading 3rd party and locating the game through the launcher afterwards.

The latter could work. No idea why this happens if on Windows and not Linux, could make a blind guess they could have changed something in download manifests that isn't backwards compatible with Origin maybe? Hard to tell...

Did you manage to try it on Linux? If it works there that is quite weird, thanks million dollar company EA. I highly doubt that they changed something specifically for BF1, perhaps it is just a problem on their end that is yet to be fixed. I talked to customer support too and they couldn't really help either(about the EA app, i have not mentioned the origin workaround).

@gri4ka After all were you able to install the game with any method? I just tried this method with Origin and got this "Error: 262150:131086" for BF1..

Hmm, I actually recall I had similar issues on Wine with some games. Not sure if they'd occur on Windows too. But there's some winetricks scripts and such (perhaps also on things like Lutris, Bottles), where they apply some extra fixes while installing Origin, so you could look into that, I vaguely recall it might had to do something with those errors
