Hi, I’m Gael Estrera, and I graduated with a degree in BS Management Information Systems with an Honorable Mention Award from Ateneo de Manila University with a specialization in Enterprise Systems .
I mainly enjoy playing video games, eating out with friends, and travelling around the Philippines and outside Philippines. My mother introduced me to different cultures around the world which broadened by perspective, goals, and dreams. Recently, my trip to Taiwan really piqued my interest in broadening my perspective, aspirations, and my disposition towards people and activities.
As an Information Systems graduate, I was taught how to design data models, data diagrams, database designs, as well as the technical development skills for implementing applications. All of these are being taught while taking into consideration business logic. I found myself being more inclined to the development-side of Information Systems such as applications development, software development, database design, and web application development.
Through Enterprise Systems, I'm able to learn electives that emphasize on Enterprise-level Information Systems planning, Software Engineering topics and applications, Network Security and Cryptography, and Enterprise Systems programming by the end of my college curriculum. After my software engineering internship, I work towards my goal to be a future Software Developer that is very passionate in programming and developing applications that create positive impact for certain business/enterprise needs.
I'm knowledgeable in data structures and algorithms, Python, Java (Spring Boot), Javascript (including NodeJS and ReactJS), and MySQL. I'm currently learning C# and .NET, and I'm mainly honing my ability to develop algorithms from visualizing the scenario and the potential solutions to it.
