Release candidate 2.1rc2 (technically 2.0.99.2) published

This is a git clone of Daniel Pfeiffer's excellent makepp program (i.e. a "Compatible but improved replacement for make").

The original project appears to be hosted on a sourceforge CVS repository.

This git repo and accompanying pseudo releases/tags are only here to make life easier for eventually contributing to makepp in a git/github friendly manner (i.e. thru a fork, which must happen elsewhere).

IN other words, no source changes are going to be posted in this particular repository.

Therefore, please do send any changes or pull requests here. All changes and contributions should be submitted to the original author thru the project's customary channels (links below).

IMPORTANT NOTE (on the SHA-512 hash):

Daniel Pfeiffer's original release does not appear to have any signature files. Also, neither sourceforge nor MetaCPAN appear to priovide automatic hash support.

Therefore, the above source tarball hash (SHA-512) was manually computed after downloading from the above tarball makepp-2.0.99.2.tgz (on 2018-01-03), with all the CAVEATS of such second hand hashes (i.e. only useful for verifying a particular download task, or at best comparing several alternative tarballs; and not for anything that resembles a true public-key signature)
