Instagram Reel Downloader Extension

This is a simple browser extension that allows you to download Instagram Reels and create shareable links for Instagram videos directly from your browser.

Installation

1. Clone or Download the Repository:

   • Clone this repository by running:

     git clone https://github.com/tejazmali/reel-downloader-extention.git

   • Or download the ZIP file directly from GitHub and extract it.

2. Open the Extension in Your Browser:

   • Open your preferred browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Brave).
   • Go to the Extensions page:
     • In Chrome, open chrome://extensions/.
     • In Edge, open edge://extensions/.
   • Enable Developer mode (usually found at the top-right of the Extensions page).

3. Load the Extension:

   • Click on Load unpacked (or Load extension).
   • Select the folder where you cloned or extracted this repository.

The extension should now be visible in your browser's extension toolbar.

Usage

1. Go to an Instagram Reel:

   • Navigate to Instagram and open the Reel you want to download.

2. Download or Generate a Link:

   • Click on the extension icon in the toolbar.
   • Choose the Download button to download the Reel or the Generate Link button to get a shareable link.

3. Access Your Downloaded Reel or Link:

   • The downloaded Reel will be saved in your default downloads folder.
   • The generated link can be copied and shared directly from the extension pop-up.

Important Notes

• Instagram Terms of Service: Ensure compliance with Instagram's Terms of Service when downloading and sharing content.
• Compatibility: This extension is tested on Chrome but should work on most Chromium-based browsers (such as Edge or Brave).
